We took the boys to the air show at McChord AFB last Saturday. My Dad used to take me and my sisters every year, and so it brought back lots of great childhood memories. Truss and Cole (and Zac too for that matter) absolutely loved it! They had so much fun walking through all the airplanes, and helicopters, sitting in the cockpits, and looking at all the different fighter jets on display. We especially enjoyed the demonstrations by the fighter planes. It really is extremely amazing what they can do with those big hunks of steal. Truss' favorite part of the day was the appearance of the B-2 stealth bomber, which made a few passes over head. Cole's favorite was the chinook helicopter, and the big C-5 cargo plane. The weather was wonderful, and it was so great to be able to spend time together as a family. We have been so busy catching up with everyone and running around in a million different directions, it was nice to have a day to relax. We go home in less than a week. Time has really flown by, and we have really enjoyed our time here...but I will write about that another time.
