I love watching my boys' relationship with Jesus unfold. It's so fun to see how they relate to Him, individually. The other day Cole asked me, "Mom, why do some parent's love their kids more than they love God? That isn't a very smart idea, since He gave them their kids in the first place." I was blown away that his little mind could see the importance of loving Jesus more than anything else in life because he is the one that gives us the good things in our lives. About a year ago, I was driving in the car with Truss, and from the backseat I hear, "God always only does what's best for us, huh, mom. Sometimes we don't think that he is good, but he is always doing what is the best thing for us, and he is always good." It's amazing to hear things that take some adults years to grasp come out of the mouth of a child.
If there is one thing I could impart to my kids, it would be learning how to hear God's voice, and cultivating that relationship on a daily basis. It is the most rewarding thing as a parent to see your kids relationship with God alive and thriving. I am so thankful to God that He has captured their hearts at such a young age.
Here's a picture of the boys on Easter Sunday...we finally got some sunshine and had an amazing day with friends here, egg hunts and talking about the victorious resurrection of our Lord and Saviour. What an amazing thing to be able to call the Lord of our lives the Saviour of our lives as well. Easter is my most favorite day of the year...what an amazing thing happened on that day....I could go on forever. I will leave you with this picture of 2 amazing boys :) Please keep our health in your prayers. Love you guys!!
