Here we are...in Bishkek

Hello friends!
Just want to send out a quick update about life in Bishkek. The internet is incredibly slow...so this will probably be our only blog post while we are here. Life here has been amazing! God has, once again, exceeded all our expectations, and been incredibly faithful during our time. We have been hanging out with university students Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at a little coffee/tea house where they come to practice English. It has been so easy to build relationship with them and share Jesus. Many of them are really hungry for Truth, and Hope. Depression is a huge stronghold here in K-stan, and many youth are fighting to find hope in a seeminly meaningless life. Jesus is shining through us here, and we have seen change in many of the students we talk with on a regular basis. In particular- Jonibek, Zara, Goolya, Aika and Altinia....please pray for them!!
We met some students while walking down the street the other day, and they had no idea even who Jesus was, they had never heard about what he did for them....they had never even heard his name before! We are so priviledged to be able to do what we do. We consider it such an honor to tell people about this Jesus who loves them so much and is pursuing them everyday, and longs for them to know him.
Please keep us in your prayers. There is definitely a battle going on here, and we are fighting every day...but our God is faithful and victorious. We are still in need of some money for airline tickets to get home after outreach. Our plan is to be in Washington from about May 22 to June 3rd or so.
Thanks SO much for your prayers....they are needed and appreciated! Love you all, and look forward to seeing you soon!!
