Our God is truly amazing...words cannot justly describe how awesome and great He is. Words fall short, but I have to try and communicate this somehow.
I have been going through Romans, ever so slowly, lately. It's one of my favorites. Today I was reading in chapter 4 and just had to stop...I couldn't go on...this one little phrase got me and I sat weeping and rejoicing in my seat...."the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not" -v. 17 Wow!! I was yet again blown away by the power of God...life to the dead!!!! I could not help but jump around in my kitchen as I thought about this little phrase...life to the dead! It doesn't really get much better....he brings us to LIFE...and full, abundant, AMAZING LIFE! And we get to live it with HIM, at that....what else can my response be than to offer my life back to him, the very one who gave me life in the first place. All I want is to spend my life worshiping him, bringing him honor and glory....and telling everyone I know, that my God and my friend gives life to the dead, and he calls things into being that were not there before.
He is a great God.
