so now that my life is not consumed with doctor visits and blood tests...I feel like I finally have time to write a post...albeit, I don't really have much to right about :) Truss had mono...that was fun :) In the last 6 weeks he has had 9 dr. appointments, 6 blood tests, and 1 EKG...and a near hospital stay for dehydration due to fevers. My goodness. I felt like a mad woman running around, and don't even want to think about how much we went over our budget on gas, since town is a 30 min. drive each way....thank you Jesus for nice sized tax returns :)
Truss is on the mend now, just awaiting his spleen to shrink back down to normal size, so normal boy activities can resume. I must say the hardest part about all of this, was keeping a 9 year old boy on bedrest for 2 weeks...especially after he started feeling healthy again.
Cole started spring soccer a few weeks ago. He is having a BLAST playing, and is actually quite good for his first year playing. He only plays once a week, and got put on a team with is best friend, so we all have really enjoyed it. Truss was pretty bummed that we missed registration for baseball this year...but turns out it's a good thing we did, because he wouldn't have been able to play because of mono. (he is not allowed to run until his spleen is normal size.) Cole will be 7 in a week and a half. It's so hard to believe...they grow up fast...just like everyone says. This is such a fun stage of life though. We are really enjoying hanging out with eachother, and sharing life with Jesus together.
Well...I guess that's all I have to write. I will leave you with some pictures. It is so nice to have the sun shining again. I am REALLY looking forward to summer this year.

What to do with a boy that can't "be active" on a sunshiney day...? Take him fishing!

Yes...we live in a georgeous place!
